‘Sent Without Permission: A Farewell from an Unwelcome Hire’: Departing visiting professor alleges incidents of racism

Professor Hernandez-Romero, a departing visiting professor, sent a school-wide email that detailed a series of alleged racist incidents that she endured during her three years at Middlebury. She also described the larger problem of racism at Middlebury and the poor treatment that people of color receive at the hands of the institution. Two hours after the email was sent, the college deleted it from the Middlebury server which removed it from the recipient's inboxes.
