Student Activists Hold Solidarity Rally

Dublin Core

Title

Student Activists Hold Solidarity Rally

Subject

Following the Legutko fiasco, students organized a march from the Queer Studies house to Wilson Hall (it was ultimately held inside due to weather). The rally was in response to the various troubling occurrences on campus during the time (Legutko, Nazi question on chemistry midterm, joke about slave ships, etc.). Activists included both students and professors. The goal of the event was not only to provide the group with an open mic to voice their concerns/feelings but also to uplift various marginalized identities in order to "build bridges" across different groups of people.
