Following the creation of the role of Diversity Dean at Middlebury, executive VP of the Posse Foundation, Shirley Ramirez, was chosen for the position. Her job will consist of working toward making diversity central to all institutional initiatives, as well as leading an effort to make Middlebury a community that includes a more multicultural faculty, staff, and student body.
