College tackles multi-year anti-racism and DEI action plan
Subject
Follow up on the Action Plan for Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which was published in September 2020 by the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It followed the national protests over police brutality and the murder of George Floyd. The goal of the plan is to "identify and implement strategies that will engage the entire campus community in the work of fostering greater access, equity, inclusion, and full participation for Middlebury students, staff, and faculty". There are 5 target areas to the plan: Faculty and Staff; Students; Fostering and Restoring Community; Accessibility; and Transparency and Accountability.
