Title

Violent Imagery Drawn on Classroom Chalkboard

Subject

Student Kizzy Joseph posted to Facebook the graphic and violent depictions he had found in Bi-hall. The images depict an act of violence being committed against Addis Fouche-Channer, and the phrase “f-ck Addis” was also written on a board. This attack seems to be a direct response to Addis' persistence in seeing that her experience of being racially profiled is addressed. Fouche-Channer responds: “It doesn't even surprise me that this is the kind of thing that’s coming out of Middlebury College, because the administration doesn't even follow its own guidelines or restrictions for what kind of behavior is appropriate on campus.”
