Title

SGA Debates the Future of Free Speech on Campus

Subject

In light of the Charles Murray protests, the SGA proposed a free-speech bill in which free speech is explicitly protected and defined. SGA ultimately voted against this bill dubbed the “Diversity Resolution”, with prominent opposition arguing it would harm students’ rights to justify protests down the line, and would actually silence those who have reason to protest.
